A majority of my art during this time was for my apprenticeship, and my main intention was to practice styles and mediums I was unfamiliar with (mainly American traditional and colored ink). Most of my flash sheets this year are colorful as I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and encourage myself to practice color tattoos when I began practicing on skin at the end of the year.
I also started to find more of my own style that I was interested in tattooing. I started practicing more work with black ink or charcoal on textured watercolor paper. Many of my tattoos in 2023 came from paintings from this year.
